Since When is the Desire of Humans to Be Free A Western Plot?

The truth be told; Freedom and Liberty is a Western Plot!

Well, now I've heard it all, but I must say I am amused indeed. Many of the leaders in the nations which have undergone political unrest, marches of rage, protests, and rioting are now telling their people through propaganda media that the uprisings are purely a Western Plot against their governments and their people. So I ask; since when is the human desire for liberty, and the desire of humans to be free a Western plot?

It is interesting that in our society and civilization, and much of the Western World we believe in freedom and liberty but in many of these nations, for far too many generations, going back thousands of years, well, they've never known freedom - and liberty is a concept which is hard to grasp if you've never tasted it. Having an uneducated society allows the leaders to keep the citizens in a fog of false authority. However as soon as the fog clears that false authority is seen for what it is. That's happening now.

Is it the fault of the Internet? Well, that depends on what you call a fault, as bringing information to the masses is the same as educating them as to what's going on in the rest of the world, it is lifting the fog for billions of people around the globe. Now that they see, they inherently want freedom and liberty, who wouldn't? It is interesting that many nations who find themselves dealing with this political unrest are blaming the Western World.

And isn't it interesting that the Western World is blaming such things as communism, and socialism for infiltrating their societies and civilizations in the same way? So what's the answer? Should humans be free or not? If you are an American or someone living in the Western World, you'd agree that humans should be free, but left to their own devices, they are so easily led astray by false authority, promises, and allure of a philosophical utopia which can never actually be realized.

Interestingly enough, utopia probably can't be realized by the Western World either, nevertheless, if people knew the difference, and had the opportunity to either experience, and/or observe all the potential ways to run a socioeconomic system, it is quite evident that they would choose freedom and liberty over any other. And yet there are folks who have gone from communism to crony capitalism, and they liked communism better, but that's only because they never experienced the true freedom and liberty it represents when practiced correctly.

Those who have become weak by being babysat by socialism, often enjoy it better, even if it fails to meet all their needs, because they don't have to be productive any longer, or work very hard. A strong society, with strength of character of each individual will choose to take the responsibility that goes along with freedom and liberty over any other form of government. Those who are weak, lazy, feel defeated, and wish to just get by doing the bare minimum may actually choose socialism or communism over any other form. And therefore they may actually choose to support an authority driven government as a trade off.

So indeed, from the perspective of the government trying to hold the peace of their civilization and the power of authority over the people, to them, yes, it would appear to be a Western Plot. But is it a Western Plot, or is it really a choice, and the will of the people emerging from the fog?

In full disclosure I would like to say that I happen to live in the greatest nation ever created in the history of mankind, I am a capitalist, and I love freedom and liberty. I've visited the others - No Thank You! Indeed I can't even imagine how anyone could choose in any other form of government that currently exists for human society on this planet.

Now then, I can understand why a Beehive works, or how an Ant civilization remains productive using another strategy, but considering the potential of each individual human being, it just doesn't make sense philosophically to settle for anything less than freedom and liberty. So with the regimes of these nation-states wishing to call capitalism, freedom, liberty, and justice for all "A Western Plot" - then yes, maybe they have a point but only from their skewed perspective.

Okay so, I am open for any comments, questions, concerns, empirical data, or case studies which might lead someone to have a counter argument. So, if you have a counterargument; bring it. I challenge the world. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
